Directions

Take I-80 out of Sacramento towards Reno. 

After you pass all Roseville exits, you will come to Hwy 65 going towards Lincoln/Marysville.  Take the Hwy 65 Lincoln/Marysville exit off I-80.

From this exit, you will be heading to the town of Lincoln.  (Approximately 9.5 miles from the Hwy 65 exit)

Stay on Hwy 65, which will go through the town of Lincoln.  When you are about to leave the town of Lincoln, you will notice on your right the Gladding, McBean Factory.

Still on Hwy 65, approximately 8 miles you will drive through the small town of Sheridan.

Passing the railroad tracks in Sheridan, you will travel a little over 3 miles towards the town of Wheatland.

As you enter Wheatland, you will see Main Street, go right.  Main Street is the first cross street you will see upon entering Wheatland. (The main street sign is very small and faded, and is on the left hand corner by Elkins Drive-in)

You will wind through town for a couple of minutes and then as you leave Wheatland, Main Street will automatically become Spenceville Road. (This will happen about a mile out of town.)

The distance between your turn onto Main Street and your next turn (which is Camp Far West Road), is 5.6 miles.  Turn right on Camp Far West Road.  Spenceville bends to the left at this point.  We will put one of our “Old Sierra” signs at this point.

The distance to your next turn is 2.5 miles.  Camp Far West Road turns sharply to the left at this point.  Be careful here.  There are two signs at this intersection.  The one that says Camp Far West Road and the other sign says Blackford.  Turn left on Blackford Road.  (Please note if you go straight over the dam, the name of the road changes to Blackford .  Do not go over the Dam!)

We will put another of our “Old Sierra” signs here to avoid any confusion.

Incidentally, about a mile and a half after you make this turn, the road turns to dirt and gravel, and gets bumpy in places, so be prepared.

The distance to your next turn is 3.9 miles, and we will have another of our signs at this point.  It is a right turn, which is the only way that you can go, and the street sign says Long Ravine Road.

Note…(about a half a mile before you get to the turn just mentioned, you will arrive at a spot in the road that veers sharply to the left and you will see an opportunity to go right.  DO NOT GO RIGHT AT THIS POINT!)

You are now on the road that leads you to the jumping’ off point gate.  The distance from the right turn to the gate is 1.6 miles.  We will be waiting for you at the gate!
