Dear Travelers,
Howdy Partners! Word is, that things sure are hoppin'
out at the "Old Sierra Ranch", as they prepare for our upcoming
arrival. Your trail boss is Rosemary Hawthorne, with all manner of critters
assisting her.
Also, the Nichols
Mercantile will be up and functional upon your arrival. We have many hand
made items for sale ranging from five cents to twenty dollars.
Then, of course,
comes Toby, Sarah, Samuel, and Licorice, your canine guides to the past, as well
as, "Pig", whom we could write volumes on, but we will let you
experience for yourselves!
There is so much to
do once we arrive at the homestead, and that first day will be the
busiest. We'll be real tuckered out at night, but that won't stop us from
playin' our "mountain music", around that cracklin' fire at night!
The next few weeks
will be busy ones as you prepare for your journey West. Listed below are
some recommendations we have for articles to bring along. Of course,
you'll want to keep your load light. Many a' pilgrim has had to leave a
treasured rocking chair, and other valuables, along the trail to lighten the
load!
